Stronghold Crusader 2 has been in development for an incredible decade! Set during the Crusades in the Middle East, players take charge of both Crusaders and Arabic forces as they fight over dominance across its desert terrain. Though not without faults, Stronghold Crusader was appealing enough for me as an RTS enthusiast and will probably also bring fond memories back for anyone familiar with similar titles from my youth. 1b2a4x
Stronghold Crusader 2 offers not so much of a plot as an array of battles you must win; these battles, known as Skirmish Tales in the game, require victory at various battles known as Skirmish Tales. As either a Crusader or Arab general depending on which Tale it is! Afterward, three missions per Tale must be completed each with unique handicaps you need to work around; both aspects have specific devices to help take down opponents! Every project’s handicap places you at an obvious disadvantage that needs overcoming in order for victory to come victorious victory!
