Nintendo postpones the release of fan-favourite war game due to the Ukraine conflict 3i3x6w

Nintendo announced the delay in the release of its strategy game Advance Wars 2+2: Re-Boot Camp due to the ongoing crisis within Ukraine. This delay is applicable to both the European and American versions of the game.
The announcement was posted on Twitter and reads: “In view of recent world events we have made it the decision to delay Advance Wars 2+2: Re-Boot Camp which was originally due to release on Nintendo Switch on 08/04. Keep checking back for information on a new release.
Although reactions to the news were mixed, many ers have shown their for it.
“It makes the most sense in the whole world. “War’s not going to end soon, and having a war-themed game in the middle of actual war is disgusting,” tweeted @Fooza___. It’s understandable, and I expected it given that the game is about modern war tanks and weapons. @So_Ethereal wrote: “Wishing Advance Wars all the best after this terrible war is over.”
Others don’t think that delay is necessary. This is absurd. Advance Wars is nothing to do [with] the war in Ukraine, it doesn’t feel like a war game. “I don’t understand it, and I don’t appreciate it,” stated @schmauza. Other war games were released even though there were ongoing conflicts in other countries for many years. It’s likely because it’s still not finished, which is odd considering it’s so similar to the old games,” said @beegust_yoshees.
The remake is being delayed due to a terrible reason. However, it’s interesting that a similar thing happened with the original release. In 2001, the first Advance Wars was due to be released in Japan. However, it was cancelled by the 9/11 attacks. Instead, it was released in 2004 with its sequel, Game Boy Wars Advance 2.
We don’t know when Reboot Camp will be released. So we’ll just have to wait. However, it is obvious that the safety of those affected by these events is far more important than the release of a video game.
